
Marcus began his investment consulting career in 1987 as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for a Virginia based financial institution. He is a licensed certified public accountant and a 40-year resident of Suffolk Virginia. In 2011 he moved his financial practice to Capitol Securities to take advantage of the firm’s independence that allows him greater flexibility in serving his clients.
Marcus provides investment advice and management, as well as comprehensive financial planning services to individuals, corporations, non-profits, and retirement plans. He is committed to providing his clients with the highest level of professionalism and personal service. Once he fully understands his client’s goals, he will recommend a suitable investment program and monitor it on an ongoing basis.
Prior to being an advisor and portfolio manager, Marcus graduated Cum Laude from Old Dominion University earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. After graduating, he did his Public Accounting Internship with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Washington D.C. He met his wife Hilary in Suffolk, VA where they have raise their two daughters, Meredith and Lauren. Marcus came to Virginia from Massachusetts after living in Europe and traveling abroad as a child.
